A charity bike design for the Philadelphia Phillies & Trek Bikes

I was given the opportunity to work on a project for my motherland, Philadelphia, creating a full custom iconic one-of-a-kind Trek Project One Madone SLR used as a fundraiser for auction by Phillies Charities to raise money supporting the Greater Philadelphia area.

INSPIRATION

For this bike, we wanted it to embody the spirit of the Philadelphia Phillies. I worked hand in hand with the Phillies organization to create this one-of-a-kind bicycle. The inspiration initially came from baseball textures including grass, wooden bats, the team uniforms, the iconic mascot Phillies Phanatic, and their 2008 National League Championship.

FINAL BIKE DESIGN & BOTTLE CAGES

We moved forward with this design inspired by the Philadelphia Phillies throwback uniform that is used for Thursday home games. Additionally, I designed water bottle cages to match the theme of the bike. The bike for the charity event was unveiled during a Thursday home game for the Phillies, coinciding with the team wearing the same uniform as the bike.
